The foundation of Fairmount Heights Homes began with the full gut renovation of a personal real estate investment. Drawing on years of hands-on experience renovating personal properties and commercial spaces, the project wasn't approached as a quick flip. Instead, it focused on doing the work properly, creating lasting value, and refining an understanding of how thoughtful design and construction decisions influence a home's long-term performance.
2018
Forming the Business
After completing additional renovations and real estate projects, the company was formally established in December 2018. At this stage, the work focused on gut renovations tied to real estate investments rather than client-driven remodeling.
2021
Transition to Residential Clients
In 2021, Fairmount Heights Homes took on its first full residential renovation outside of internal real estate projects. This marked a shift toward working directly with homeowners, applying the same disciplined planning and cost control to client projects.

Garret Pinke
Garret founded Fairmount Heights Homes after a career in marketing and project-based consulting, where managing scope, budgets, and stakeholders was the job. He brought that same discipline to construction — not as a stylist, but as the person responsible for estimates, schedules, and execution.
Fairmount Heights Homes was built on the complete renovation of Garret's own Ridgewood investment properties. Rather than pursuing quick flips, each home was thoughtfully renovated with a focus on long-term quality, functionality, and value. Those firsthand experiences shaped the company's planning-first approach to design-build remodeling and continue to influence every project today. Homeowners work directly with Garret throughout the entire process—from the first conversation to the final walk-through.
